Michael Hall was born in Annapolis, Maryland in 1945. He received his B.A. degree from Emory University in 1968. After completing a term of service in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant, he graduated from the University of Georgia with a Masters in Accounting and a Juris Doctor degree in 1974. Mr. Hall practiced actively as a Certified Public Accountant until 1981. He continued to maintain his status as a Certified Public Accountant until recently while practicing law.
Mr. Hall has been the Dougherty County Guardian & Probate Administrator for Unrepresented Estates since 1985 and Lee County Guardian & Probate Administrator since 2005. He was the principal drafter of the 1996 restatement of Official Code of Georgia Annotated Chapter 29-6 (Guardianship of Veterans). Mr. Hall is a member of the Dougherty County and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Georgia.
He was President of the Albany Humane Society for five years, served as Vice-Chairman of the Albany Community Service Board for three years and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Graceway Recovery Residence.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Hall resides in Albany and is the father of six grown daughters and seven grandchildren (thus far).
